Hey guys. Returning to my blog after a while (which was never really a blog extrict sense of the word, but rather a place to put my ideas, and silly things that interest me.) This time the subject is centered in the world of video games in particular simulation of football. I played FIFA and PES in nearly all versions, so I played on NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Play Station, 1, 2 and 3, Ngage, and of course the PC. And the truth is that every year took turns on top. I played the first Cup in 95. FIFA 94 was innovative for the competition. The best existing version that year was that of PC. A PC of the time offered better odds than a Super Nintendo. At that time the priority was the PC EA SPORTS.
PES
formerly called International United Soccer Super Star, and in its original Japanese version Winning Eleven. International Superstar Soccer was a success on Super Nintendo. Konami have not launched the game on PC. So clearly FIFA was the only decent option on the PC.
The following table shows that game was better than the other from 98 to 2010. The table was made for FIFA's official forum.
Since the appearance of the seventh generation consoles FIFA was clearly superior. PES was in a migration phase of its glorious PES Play Station 2.
PES this year has changed a lot. FIFA on PC is a direct port of FIFA 10 NextGen, which is good when compared with fifa last year. But if we compare it to Fifa for PS3 or XBOX 360, there are many differences. Instead PES is the same on PC, PS3, or XBOX 360. Which is an added bonus to the adaptability of the game.
CP, I think PES is better. For two simple facts: A new game unlike FIFA recycling is a game a year ago. and also because FIFA on PC is poorly optimized. I'm reminded every time I play GTA 4. In Console I give an advantage to FIFA. Because it is a title winner with enough support unlike the PC version. But again, each time Konami is closing the gap, and maybe the next year and leave no doubt that the reign of Konami will return, as far as football simulators concerns.
