84% of Mexicans affected by the crisis says

The perception among the Mexican population the last six months, is that the economy has deteriorated sharply, as 66% of respondents, while for a much improved 16% or something. For 17% of the population, the economy remains unchanged. In addition, 84% of respondents said that has been affected by the crisis, while only 16% say they have not suffered.

According to a survey by Berumen and Associates to El Universal, the main activity of the population face this crisis esenario ranging from failure to pay utilities like water and electricity (15%) to cut food costs (53% .)

Thus, to achieve savings, 73% would prefer to cut its budget entertainment, 69% by spending less on clothes and 51% to reduce costs in your home and 50% have chosen to spend less on transport.

Other measures to alleviate the crisis are to pawn something, 18% debt to credit card, 16%, request a new program of government assistance, 23%, failing to pay debts, 24% and cut costs in education, 34%.

And looking to the future, at least the next three months, 70% of respondents live in fear of being fired from his job. Seven out of ten Mexicans are afraid that they reduce the wages. Another 67% are concerned that closing the company where he works, while 66% see eliminated their fears benefits. The survey was conducted January 30 to February 2, 2009, with a confidence level of 95%.
